"Kashmir Flood Alert" Mobile Application is a part of the "Flood Early Waring System" developed by the Irrigation & Flood Control Department of Kashmir. It provides real-time hydro-metrological data of the Jhelum Basin, the Sensors installed at various locations generate periodic (hourly) data in real-time. The Irrigation & Flood Control Department of Kashmir aims to support sustainable development and water resource management and share information among various stakeholders. The main objective is to establish an efficient, reliable, and timely hydro-metrological data collection and transmission system. Currently, nineteen (19) water level & Seven (07) rainfall measurement sensors provide real-time water level & rainfall data on an hourly basis 24x7 and the network shall be expanded. The application has been developed by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department of Kashmir, its been hosted by National Informatics Centre (NIC) Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir.
